Jedi- The Light Side

Their is little Canon information about the 'Force.' The force could move things, predict the future, change people minds and more. The Jedi were Practioners of the Light Side of the 'Force.' They use positive emotions to align themselves wuth the force, such as honesty, comapssion, mercy and self-sacrafice.

The Republic

Before the Galactic Empire, the galaxy was run in a democracy, a Republic. All the senators, from various planets, would join together and discuss issues. Their was a Chancellor who 'ran' the show and had a 2 terms in office. When Order 66 was commanded, the Republic transformed into the Galactic Empire, with Darth Sidious, Papatine as the Emperor.

The Rebel Alliance

After the proclomation of the end of the Galactic Republic and beginning of the Galactic Empire, Bail Organa and his wife defyed this descision, forming the Rebel Alliance. In episodes IV, V and VI they are pictured, resisting the Empire and it's powerful Battle Stations.
