Leia Organa

Leia Organa is a princess from the fictional movie 'Star Wars.' She is part of the Rebel Alliance who are fighting to destroy the Galactic Empire and restore the Republic. She is depicted as a short young lady who is usually armed with a pistol. She is famous for her hair style nick-named the Princess Leia doughnuts. 

 

She was born on Poliss Massa shortly after the rise of the Galactic Empire and fall of the Galactic Republic. Her parents were Anakin Skywalker, recenlty reclamed as Darth Vader a fallen Jedi, and Padme' Amidala, a Rebulic Senator who died during child birth. Her twin brother and herself were both seperated and hidden from their father Darth Vader by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Leia grew up with the King and Queen of the Rebel Alliance on Aldaraan. 

 

At the beggining of the 4th film she is entrusted with the stolen plans of the Death Star. After her ship was captured she hid the plans on R2-D2 and commanded him to give them to Obi-Wan Kenobi who was on Tatooine watching over Luke Skywalker as grew up with his father's family. 

 

She is imprisoned on the Death Star and for the sake of her home planet (the Death Star could destroy it) was asked where the Rebel Base was. She lied to them about the position of the base, without their knowledge, but they blew up Aldaaran anyway. Before her execution she was recued by Luke, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Chewbacca. They escaped and shortly after that, Luke destroyed the Death Star.


During the 5th film she is at the Rebel Base at Hoth. After the Empires attack they retreated into space.  Han takes

them to an old friend of his, Lando Calrissian. It turns out that it was a trap, and Darth Vader recaptures them. Han is frozen in carbonite and Chewie, Luke, Leia and the redeemed Lando retreat back to the Rebels.

 

In the 6th film Leia, Han and Luke are assigned the task of bringing down the shield of the 2nd Death Star while it is still being created so the Rebels can destory it. They battle with Stormtroopers on Endor with the help of befriened Ewoks. They destroy the shield and the Rebels blow up the Death Star.

 

Their are many legends about what happens next and the trailer for Episode 7 mentions Luke telling someone that his sister has the force.
