Star Wars is an American 6, soon to be 7, films, produced by George Lucas.  It is about a galaxy 'far, far away.' 

 

There are two sides of the 'force' in these films. The force is almost like a spirit. You can not see it, but you can use it for many different things (Predicting the future, sensing others misfortunes, using your hand power without touching it.)

 

It is a war about the Dark Side with evil Sith Lords attempting to take over from the Jedi, which are on the light side of the force. By the end of the 3rd film, only two Jedi survive, and the Empire has taken over the republic. Episodes IV, V and VI are about the Jedi and the Rebels attempting to destroy the Empire and the Sith Lords.
