Han Solo

Han Solo is a fictional character from the film series 'Star Wars.' He was a top smuggler for Jabba the Hutt until he forfeited his cargo when his ship was bordered by the Galactic Empire. He is an intelligent man and eventually fell in love with Leia Organa. Throughout his life he had many adventures with his best buddy, Chewbacca, who was the last Wookie left.

 

He is first shown in a bar dealing with Obi-Wan about a ride to Aldaraan. At that time he needed money to pay off Jabba the Hutt, for losing partof his cargo. Obi-Wan offered a large sum of money and he accepted to take them there. When they arrived at Aldaraan's locatoin they discovered that it had been destroyed by the Death Star, a battle station the size of a small moon, which was commanded by the Galactic Empire. 

 

They were attracted in to the battle station by a tractor beam. They all hid in his secret smuggler compartments under the floor while his ship was searched. They managed to escape the ship attracting no ones attention and hid in a room. Obi Wan went to turn off the Tractor Beam and commanded them to stay where they were.

 

Shortly after his dissmissal they discovered that the princess of the Rebel Alliance, who Luke and Obi-Wan where delivering a message to, was imprisoned there and was awaiting her execution. Defying Obi-Wan's order they left the room to go and rescue her. They managed to escape on his ship, leaving Obi-Wan behind who was struck down by 

Darth Vader during a breif lightsaber battle.

 

They followed Leia's-the princess they rescued-directions to the secret rebel base unaware of the traking beacon planted on their ship. The Death Star followed behind them. When they arrived at the base they relised that the Death Star was on it's way to destroy the planet their base was on. In a hurry they sent X-Wings to destroy it through a open exaust pipe. Han left immediatly with his money they owed him. Just before he was about to jump into hyper space he and Chewie changed their minds and went back to support the X-Wings. When he arrived he noticed that Luke's X-WIng was being followed by three Tie Fighters. He shot at them, destroying two of them and made one spin out of control, so Luke could destroy the battle station before the base came in range. He was successful. Himself, Luke and Chewie were all awarded for their bravery.

 

At the beggining of the 5th episode he was having an argument with Leia in the new Rebel base on Hoth, who wanted him to stay and fight for the Rebel Alliance, while an intense evacutaion was underway due to an attack by the Empire. During the capture of the base, he, Leia and Chewie retreated from the base in the Millenium Falcon. He went to Cloud City where a friend of his worked. It turned out though that it was a trap and he, Leia and Chewie were captured. Han was frozen in carbonite as a test to see if he would stay alive. He did and went with Boba Fett to Jabba the Hutt. He was a peice of decoration for a while in his place where he hung on the wall.

 

During the 6th episode Leia, who had escaped with Chewie, went to rescue him. Luke came to help, and Jabba the Hutt was killed by Leia and his ship blown up. They rescued Han Solo and retreated to the Rebels.  When they arrive they are assigned the role of bringing down a sheild generator that was protecting the 2nd Death Star during it's construction, that way they could destroy it. After befriending the Ewoks, they destroyed the generator and a battalion of Stormtroopers. They celebrated after that and Han and Leia finally announced their love for one another and kissed.
